Delightful bite-sized treats filled with pumpkin and warming spices, perfect for the fall season.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 package pie crusts (store-bought)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth.
  3. Roll out the pie crust and use a round cutter (about 4 inches in diameter) to cut out circles.
  4. Place a tablespoon of pumpkin filling in the center of each circle.
  5. Fold over the crust and pinch the edges to seal. You can also use a fork for extra decoration.
  6. Place the hand pies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Work with chilled pie crust for flakiness. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
