Luxurious and creamy frosting perfect for cakes, cupcakes, and pastries, making any dessert special.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and egg yolks. Whisk until blended.
  2. Heat over low to medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and reaches a temperature of 160°F.
  3. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
  5. Gradually add the sugar and egg yolk mixture to the butter, beating until well combined and fluffy.
  6. Add vanilla extract and a pinch of salt; mix until fully incorporated.
  7. Your French Buttercream is ready to frost!

Notes

Ensure butter is at room temperature for best results. Can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.
